Transforming Education in Africa: The Global Education Coalition in action

Transforming Education in Africa: The Global Education Coalition in action took place virtually on Wednesday, 25 May 2022 in honor of Africa Day.

The Forum, held by UNESCO’s Global Education Coalition (GEC), reflected on the current contributions, opportunities, and challenges for strengthening Africa's education systems following COVID-19.

In line with the upcoming UN Transforming Education Summit, the Forum was split into roundtable discussions across five critical Action Tracks addressing (i) inclusive, equitable, safe and healthy schools, (ii) learning and skills for life, work, and sustainable development, (iii) teachers, teaching, and the teaching profession, (iv) digital learning and transformation, and (v) financing of education Representatives from governments, multilateral organizations, private sector, youth networks, NGOs, educators, and learners will be among the participants.
