Practice is helping schools to become hubs for tackling malnutrition. Participation in programmes shows 14% reduction in the percentage of thin and severely thin schoolchildren (based on WHO classifications for Body Mass Index-for-age), 32% increase in the percentage of school children using soap/sanitiser to wash their hands and 14% increase in the percentage of children that reported that they believe that they can take charge of their own nutrition.
