Thematic Action Tracks

Thematic Action Tracks are key levers to transform education by focusing on five areas that need attention. The Action Tracks seek to mobilize new commitments, by highlighting policy interventions that work, and leveraging existing initiatives and partnerships, including those that emerged in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thematic Action Track 1: Inclusive, equitable, safe and healthy schools

Education is in crisis. Poverty, exclusion and gender inequality continue to stop millions from learning. Added to this, COVID-19 exposed the inequities in education access and quality. Moreover, violence, armed conflict, disasters and reversal of women’s rights have increased.

Inclusive, transformative education is to ensure that all learners have full access and take part in education. That learners are safe and healthy, free from violence and discrimination.
