Smartphones for smart learning is the future for transforming education in emerging economies. While I have been exploring various areas of using smartphones for smart education, its adoption for teaching/learning programming has been very successful. Yes, though there are a number of slimmed versions of programming languages now being developed in Android phones, my love for the QPython keep growing as more modules are being added to it.
Python is a beautiful and unique programming language because of its ease to learn, accessibility, versatility and so on. That it now has the largest community of users and is still continually increased is no more news! Agreed that there are various outstanding Python groups. However, the outreach of Python in low income economies is not yet plausible. One reason is the cost of laptops and poor power supply in these economies. I have introduced QPython in Android phones as mobile computational science and engineering laboratory/introducing beginners to programming anywhere, anytime and anyhow because of the low cost and low power requirement of these smartphones. The Feedbacks and increase in number of workshops’ participants (teachers, students etc) clearly shown that adopting the QPython as a mobile computational laboratory/introducing beginners to programming has helped to boost inclusivity in these low income economies. In other words, anyone living anywhere can adopt the QPython to learn Python in various fields in order to achieve Python inclusivity and diversity especially in low income economies. The approach of my presentations is such that the QPython can be adopted as a computational device for small scale coding and optionally aided using external storages that are either online platforms or appropriate accessories. Further, the presentations make the transition from QPython to Python easy and straightforward.

Thank you for this comment Godfrey Akpojotor!
One important feature of Python is that it is Open Source, so the software can be downloaded and used for free.
The importance of open access to online information and software online for education cannot be overstated! Extending Creative Commons and Open Source licensing and overcoming corporate monopolies on intellectual property are really crucial challenges at present.
Also, as our friends at APC note, https://www.apc.org/en/blog/gender-diversity-and-inclusion-open-source-… Open Source fosters active and inclusive online communities, like this one :)
